How to paint a Sunset scene?
How do i paint a scene where in i get to see Sunset and with that red/yellow mixed color. i tried but they dont even look anywhere close to sunset. 
First of all I would look at paintings or photographs from artists who have used this theme in their work. One example cuold be Monet's Haystack paintings, or some of Turner's work. Impressionists observed the effects of light in their paintings very closely.
One technique you could try is 'glazing', where you would aplply many thin (diluted) layers of paint to gradually build up the required colours. Ofcourse, the type of medium you are using may make it more difficult. If you are a learning to paint you might start by using Watercolour paints. You could practise by making sketches using Drawing Pencils in a similar way.
More advanced: Try to understand how light changes at sunset from observation for-instance. Such as the length of shadows, and how 'warm' and 'cool' colours may create a perception of depth. Learning about some basic colour theory will help you create shadows by mixing complimentary colours. Also, reflective light (i.e. when light from objects are reflected onto other nearby objects) can create some interesting attributes to a painting.
Basically, there are many elements to consider, but the most important one IMHO is that you enjoy what you are doing
