Color Filters Acrylic - Set of Five Colors 2x2 Inch Slabs USD 5.99
Five-color sets of acrylic color filters are ideal for optical transmission measurements, solar monitoring, attenuation of laser beams, and demonstrations of laser light's monochromatic character. In principle acrylic color filters are similar to glass filters but the host for the dye is now a sheet of acrylic. Acrylic filters are cheaper than glass filters, easier to cut to special sizes and shapes but not quite as robust as glass. A rather wider range of spectral characteristics is available than with glass. Two particularly useful types of acrylic colour filters are those which block the visible but pass near IR and the ones that pass the visible but block UV light.

Damz Hot Glass Fusing Kiln Dams 10" USD 17.95
Use Damz to create thick slabs of glass for pattern bars or pot melts or blocks. Use with kiln blocks or posts to help hold your damz in place - even though the damz are heavy themselves. We suggest lining the glass side with thick fiber paper. Combine different sizes to get different results. You receive 1 Damz measuring 10" x 1-1/2" x 5/8".Measurements, weights and description approximate but as accurate as possible. Color and shape may vary slightly from photo. A 20 cm thick glass slab of refractive index 1.5 is kept in front of a mirror. Find the position of the image relative to the mirror as seen by an observer through the glass slab when a point object is kept in air at a distance of 40 cm from the mirror.[Ans:80/3]
How do u solve it?...method?...
The thickness T of the slab appears reduced to T/N, thus there is an apparent thickness reduction of T - T/N or in this case T/3 or 6.666 cm. In a double passage through the slab, the total distance reduction is 2T/3 or 13.333 cm. Assuming the observer sees the mirror surface directly, not through the slab, the apparent distance of the point is 40 - 13.333 = 26.666 = 80/3 cm from the mirror.
